PRIVACY POLICY

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, and website URL. When you run the free SEO audit, we collect your name, your email address, and the website you want scanned, along with the results of that scan. Submitting either form is voluntary. Beyond standard server logs maintained by our hosting provider, the only information collected automatically is what the audit needs to block bots and prevent abuse, described below.

How we use it

Information submitted through the contact form is used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if a project moves forward, to communicate about that work. Information submitted through the SEO audit form is used to run the automated audit, show you the results, and follow up if you are interested in help with what it found. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit agreement.

Third-party services

This site uses Formspree to process form submissions and deliver notifications. Formspree receives the data you enter into our forms and is subject to its own privacy policy. This site is hosted on Vercel, which may retain standard server logs.

The free SEO audit uses a few more services to do its job. Before a scan runs, Cloudflare Turnstile checks your browser for signs of automation, which involves processing technical signals from your browser. The website address you enter is tested by Google PageSpeed Insights and, for sites that build themselves with JavaScript, loaded by Cloudflare Browser Run, and the public text of that website is read by Anthropic's Claude to write your report. Your name and email are never sent to Anthropic, Cloudflare, or Google. Your name, email, website, and results are emailed to us through Resend and stored in Formspree and in our own lead store on Upstash.

To prevent abuse, the audit keeps your IP address (for IPv6, only the network part of it) for up to 25 hours to limit how many scans can be run. It is used for nothing else and is deleted automatically.

Two analytics scripts load on every page. Google Analytics 4 records page views, referrers, approximate location derived from IP, and device type, and sets cookies to do it. Ahrefs Analytics records page views and referrers without cookies. Both tell us which pages get read. Neither is used to build an advertising profile of you, and no advertising or retargeting pixels are loaded on this site.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Information is shared only with the service providers listed above as necessary to operate the site, or if required by law.

Data retention

Contact and audit form submissions are retained in Formspree for as long as the account is active, or until you request deletion. Audit submissions are also kept in our own lead store, which holds the most recent 5,000, until you request deletion. If a project engagement moves forward, relevant communication may be retained for the duration of the working relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping.

Clients who buy the SEO Roadmap grant read-only access to their own Google Search Console property. That role can view data and nothing else: it cannot change the site, submit or remove URLs, or touch a Google Business Profile. You can revoke it yourself in two clicks at any time, including the day the roadmap lands, and revoking it does not affect work already delivered. The data pulled during the engagement is stored locally, used to produce your roadmap, and is never sold, pooled with other clients' data, or used to train anything.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information you have submitted through this site. To make a request, email ryan@rmcm.io. We will respond within 30 days.
